DEVELOPMENTAL GOLD PROGRAM
INFORMATION 2012
SOYSA/Pinnacles FC is happy to announce its Developmental Gold Programs for 2012.
Program Overview
The Developmental Gold Program is designed to expose players to higher level coaching, give them additional training time, and allow them more opportunities to compete. Our Head Coach oversees the program and works with the Staff Coaches to design, plan, and manage each Age Group. There are specific Boys and Girls Programs in each age group. All players in the Age Group are eligible to participate, but players and families must understand that this is a developmental program that requires an elevated level of commitment, effort, and desire for advanced training. Volunteer Parent Coaches are involved in the Program as game coaches and train under the Staff Coaches to further develop their coaching skills.
U9/10 Program
Players who choose to participate in the U9/10 Program will sign up for and play in the Mini Program as usual, but they will pay a small additional fee for the Developmental Gold Program. There will be a 90 Minute Training Session every week during the Spring Season run by the Staff Coach and assisted by the Parent Coaches. We will attempt to arrange some games with comparable teams in Kelowna, etc. and we will play some inter-squad games. Players will receive a Gold Program T-Shirt.
U11 Program
Players in the U11 Gold Program will pay the regular fee and play on a Youth Team in the SOYSA Recreational League, with the Developmental Gold Program having an additional fee. These Gold Program players will train once a week for 90 Minutes with the Staff Coach and will play in 4 Jamborees on Sundays through the season. Players will receive a Gold Program Jersey.
U12 Gold Developmental
The U12 Program is quite different from the U9/10 and U11 Programs. Players who choose the U12 Developmental Program do not play in the Recreational League. At this age players decide if they want to play ‘Competitive’ or ‘Recreational’ Soccer. The Developmental Program is run by a Staff Coach who leads the 2 a week training sessions and designs the structure, training program, and goals of the program. The Staff Coach is assisted by Parent Volunteer Coaches who attend all Training Sessions and Coach the games. These teams play in 8 Jamborees through the season travelling to Kelowna, Kamloops, Vernon, and Salmon Arm. As this program is a pre-curser to the District Program, players receive a full District Uniform.
